Pakistan’s contribution to the Iran-US ceasefire is acknowledged worldwide: Gilani

The world has acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions in the Iran-US ceasefire, according to Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday, according to Dunya News.
Yousaf Raza Gilani told the media that, similar to Pakistan, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ought to be involved in the Iran-US ceasefire after meeting party workers in Sahiwal.
He underlined the necessity of unity among Muslims, pointing out that although it has always been crucial, it is now more crucial than ever.
He emphasised that organisations like the OIC are doing their part and that Pakistan’s positive contributions are still acknowledged by the global community.
According to him, Pakistan’s policy of total neutrality in changing regional circumstances has bolstered worldwide trust in the nation as a reliable and accountable actor, allowing it to positively assist in promoting communication between Iran and the United States.
He continued by saying that the United States and other international leaders have recognised and valued Pakistan’s real and well-rounded efforts.
Even in the face of Indian aggression, he continued, Pakistan has continuously shown prudence, patience, and maturity as a responsible nuclear power. It has also always operated in accordance with international law, only retaliating in self-defence when necessary.
