PM Shehbaz and Erdogan advocate for enduring peace in the Middle East

On Friday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged immediate action to transform the present ceasefire momentum into a long-lasting peace in the Middle East.

The two leaders assessed regional developments and reiterated their commitment to bolstering Pakistan-Turkey relations during their meeting on the fringes of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

As diplomatic efforts continue to extend the present truce and begin negotiations, both sides emphasized the need to “effectively utilize the current window of opportunity” to promote peace, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

President Erdogan pledged Turkiye’s sustained support for Islamabad’s diplomatic efforts while welcoming PM Shehbaz and praising Pakistan’s role in resolving regional concerns.
