Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has adopted a resolute position in reaction to unfounded accusations from India concerning the alleged Pahalgam ‘false flag’ incident.

In the aftermath of the incident in Pahalgam, Pakistan’s leadership issued a stern warning to India, asserting that it had foreseen hostile intents and would react appropriately.

During a ceremony at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul on April 26, 2025, the Prime Minister asserted that India persistently makes baseless and misleading allegations against Pakistan without any inquiry or evidence. He stated that the Pahalgam episode exemplifies just another instance of such unfounded assertions.

Prime Minister Sharif extended an unconditional proposal to India for a neutral and transparent inquiry into the Pahalgam event.

He cautioned that any endeavour to halt, diminish, or redirect Pakistan’s water flow will be confronted with maximum force. He additionally asserted that Pakistan’s military forces are entirely equipped to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
