PSX stages recovery as KSE-100 gains 1,300 points

There was an indication of bounce in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday after a marked fall witnessed in the last session.

In the opening session of the stock exchange, the KSE-100 Index gained 1,315.72 points, which is 0.78% to reach the mark of 169,286.37 points. The highest point of the day was 169,988.11, whereas the lowest point was 169,189.29. The trading turnover in the market reached up to 25.60 million shares and the market was operating throughout.

This rise came after a sluggish performance of the stock exchange the previous day, when the KSE-100 Index fell 2,541.20 points, that is, 1.49% to end at 167,970.66 points, whereas the last closing was at 170,511.86 points.

In the previous session, the number of shares that were traded in the ready market was 570.472 million shares, compared to 687.467 million shares that were traded in the last session. The total trading value also fell to Rs24.672 billion from Rs33.705 billion. Market
