SM Tanveer nominated for FPCCI presidency, wins Gohar Ejaz’s support

Patron-in-chief of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Dr Gohar Ejaz has expressed his support for the nomination of SM Tanveer for the president of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).

FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheik and other office-bearers called on Dr Gohar Ejaz to discuss the impending FPCCI elections.

Speaking after the meeting, Dr Gohar Ejaz said: “All chambers in Sindh have nominated SM Tanveer, head of the United Business Group (UBG), as their candidate for the FPCCI presidency.

He welcomed the nomination, saying it was a fine option and that he hoped it would be approved.

It would be a huge joy for me if this nomination is accepted. Insha’Allah, SM Tanveer will serve the business community as president of the Federation,” said Dr Gohar Ejaz.

He also announced the creation of the Federation Education Foundation, which he said would adopt one school in each of Pakistan’s 170 districts.

Presidential candidate SM Tanveer claimed if elected he would strive for the welfare of the business community.

Aamir Ata Bajwa, Qurratulain Abdul Rauf, Mukhtar and Momin Ali Malik were also present in the meeting.
