The government’s top goal is still to protect media workers: Tarar Attaullah

Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, stated on Monday that safeguarding media personnel continues to be the government’s primary concern.
Speaking on a point of order in the National Assembly, he stated that the federal and provincial governments are working nonstop to support media outlets and deal with their operational and financial problems to guarantee their long-term viability.
In order to prevent any person from losing their job, he added, the issue would be brought up with the Pakistan Broadcasters Association. Along with enhancing their benefits and service structure, he emphasized that media employees’ job security was a top focus.
According to Attaullah Tarar, agreements pertaining to enhanced service perks and job security for media employees would be finalized through talks.
He further stated that measures would be implemented to address the problems encountered by media professionals in an organized and methodical way.
The minister added that in order to jointly address and resolve the issues raised by media workers, the administration would meet with coalition partners and opposition members.
