The Karachi Rangers have seized a significant quantity of illegal firearms.

On Sunday, a spokesperson for the Rangers issued a statement stating that they had discovered a significant quantity of illicit weaponry and explosives from the Safoora Chowrangi neighbourhood of Karachi.

A spokesman for the rangers claimed that an accused individual named Zohaib, who is the son of Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Jutt, was taken into custody from the Decent Garden neighbourhood.

The accused was found to be in possession of five M-IV rifles, as well as weapons with bores of 30 bore, 12 bore, and 222 bore at the time of the investigation. Additionally, an airgun, mobile phones, a gold necklace, and cash were also taken into custody, as said in the statement released by the rangers.

Additionally, according to the Rangers, the accused was found to be in possession of 132 magazines, 70 rounds of ammunition, and parts of their malfunctioning weaponry.

During the search, the authorities discovered thirteen forged licenses, as well as arms punching equipment and stamps belonging to a private security business.

According to the rangers, the operation also resulted in the recovery of nine books of fraudulent authority letters and three guns licenses from the Baluchistan region.

An official from the Rangers stated that the weapons that were found were suspected of being utilised in any number of unlawful crimes, including acts of terrorism.

According to the statement made by the spokesperson, the accused person who was arrested has been turned over to the police.
