The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has revised the civil service regulations, prohibiting government employees from marrying foreign nationals.

A legal notification from the provincial Establishment Department indicates that amendments have been made to the Civil Servants Rules, prohibiting government employees from marrying foreign nationals.

The notification indicated that all civil servants must adhere to the new restrictions upon their implementation.

Nonetheless, it stated that exceptions may be applicable in instances where the foreign national is acknowledged or sanctioned by the federal government, permitting such weddings under specified conditions.
