The United States has transferred 22 crew members of a confiscated Iranian vessel to Pakistan, as confirmed by the Foreign Office.

In a confidence-building initiative by the United States, twenty-two crew members detained on the confiscated Iranian container ship, ‘MV Touska’, have been transported to Pakistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs acknowledged it on Monday.
The official statement indicated that “the individuals, transported to Pakistan last night, will be transferred to the Iranian authorities today.”
The Iranian vessel will be backloaded to Pakistani territorial seas for return to its original proprietors following requisite repairs. The returns are being handled with the assistance of both Iranian and US parties.

“Pakistan endorses such confidence-building initiatives and will persist in facilitating dialogue and diplomacy while advancing ongoing mediation endeavours for regional peace and security.”
Simultaneously, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar disseminated the information on X.
“These actions are being orchestrated with the assistance of both Iranian and US authorities and undoubtedly represent a significant confidence-building measure,” he stated.
