Today, President Zardari will begin an official visit to China.

According to a statement released by the Foreign Office on Saturday, President Asif Ali Zardari will travel to China from April 25 to May 1, 2026.

The president will visit Sanya, Hainan Province, from April 28 to May 1, and Changsha, Hunan Province, from April 25 to 27.

He will meet with the provincial leadership to discuss bilateral relations between China and Pakistan, with an emphasis on trade and economic cooperation as well as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The visit is a part of the long-standing custom of high-level interactions between China and Pakistan, and it is particularly significant given that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the two nations’ diplomatic relations being established.

It shows how deeply committed both nations are to enhancing the All-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
