Trump claims the war in Iran is “almost over.”

Trump told Fox News, “I think it’s close to over, yeah,” and “I see it as very close to over.”

But he said that US activities might not be over yet and warned, “We are not done… we’ll see what happens.”

Trump’s comments came after he said that there might be a second round of face-to-face discussions with Iran in Pakistan in the next few days.

The US president said again in an interview with Fox News that the military effort was vital to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. He said that without US action, Tehran would already have these weapons.

He also warned that the harm done by US and Israeli strikes could take decades to fix, and he thought it might take Iran up to 20 years to get back on its feet.

Trump also said that Iran might be more open to talking now, saying, “I think they really want to make a deal.”

Even though the International Atomic Energy Agency declared there was no proof that Iran was constructing a nuclear weapon before the war started, Obama nevertheless made these assertions.

Vice President JD Vance noted that a truce between the two parties seems to be holding up about a week after it was put in place.

After spearheading US negotiations with Iranian officials in Islamabad, Vance claimed that Washington had promised to normalise trade relations if Tehran was “willing to act like a normal country.”
