International visitors begin to arrive in Islamabad for Pakistan’s inaugural Husn-e-Qirat competition.

Here, visitors started to arrive for Pakistan’s first-ever international Husn-e-Qirat tournament on Saturday.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs will oversee the competition, which is scheduled for November 24–27.

Qari Abu Al-Mal Sawalla from Ghana, Qari Ahmed from Chad, and Qari Abdul Qadir Abdi Wahab Aden from Somalia have all reached Islamabad.

The esteemed visitors were cordially received at the Islamabad Airport by representatives of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Arriving in Pakistan on Sunday (today) are international judges Qari Sheikh Dr. Hamdullah Hafiz Muhammad Ibrahim from Egypt, Qari Hamza Moeez Ahmed Ali from Bahrain, Qari Ahmed Bakri Hassan Nawasra from Jordan, Qari Nabil Muhammad Ali Sharibati from Palestine, Qari Man Muhammad from Kazakhstan, Qari Diallo Amadou from Mali, Qari Diallo Moussa from Burkina Faso, Qari Ahmed Ahmed Maske from Mauritania, and Qari Abdou Fazeluddin from Comoros.

Syed Sadaqat Ali, the Ministry of Religious Affairs Coordinator and famous Reciter (Qari) of Pakistan, stated in a statement that the project was a historic occasion for Pakistan, placing it on the global map of Quranic recitation.

He pointed out that Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, is fully behind the initiative.

The competition, which will take place in two stages, will be open to male reciters between the ages of 25 and 35. The top three spots will be decided between November 24 and 27, and on November 29, there will be a reward distribution event,” he disclosed.

He added that the occasion will encourage Pakistan’s young to strive for excellence in Quranic recitation while simultaneously promoting the nation’s Qirat culture.

According to him, the prime minister has also been invited to the closing ceremony.
