At the Torkham border, FC North and Customs thwart an attempt to smuggle weaponry.

A stash of illicit weapons was discovered by officials after thoroughly searching two cargo vans.

Among the confiscated goods were two Beretta handguns, four thousand rounds of AK-47 ammo, eight AK-47 bolts, and forty springs.

A pistol without a barrel, five pistol magazines, and eight thousand rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition were also seized.

Quick action was taken to turn over the recovered weapons and the driver of the car to Customs for additional legal action.

Frontier Corps North reaffirmed its dedication to stopping illicit arms smuggling operations and stressed the importance of being vigilant in thwarting such evil acts. They gave the people assurances that any attempt to cross the border with weapons would be dealt with swift action.
