KP police get 10 armored vehicles from Centre as part of terrorism fight

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police has received 10 new armoured vehicles from Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to enhance their operational capacity and continue the counter-terrorism operations in the province.
The cars were purchased for the Islamabad Police on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif but have been relocated to KP to boost the efficiency of security operations in the wake of increasing terrorism-related occurrences in the province.
The delivery of armoured vehicles is expected to increase the protection of police personnel in counter-terrorism operations and their safe transit in high-risk locations.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the battle against terrorism was the collective responsibility of the whole nation. He reiterated that the federal government was standing firm with KP Police.
He said the federal government will provide every possible assistance to eliminate terrorism and defend lives and property of residents.
Naqvi said support to law enforcement agencies and other relevant institutions to maintain peace, ensure public safety and eliminate terrorism remained among the top priorities of the government.
