LESCO and FIA resolve overbilling issue

According to the agreement, the FIA authorities stated that the LESCO administration will replace the electric meters of the outstanding connections during the same time frame as well as phase-wise cease overbilling in three months.

The electricity supplier stated that in the event of a complaint, the Federal Bureau of Investigations will send a letter to the head of LESCO and that FIA teams will not raid LESCO premises.

The LESCO representative promised the FIA that a thorough response will be provided in a day or two.

The overbilling dispute between the FIA and LESCO has not abated.

Before, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team conducting an overbilling investigation was “barred” from seeing revenue officers of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).

Despite being summoned on April 9, the power utility’s revenue officers have not appeared before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), according to sources, indicating that tensions between the two agencies still exist.
