modern school for kids with autism is to open in Lahore

The groundwork has been done for the development of a cutting-edge school in Lahore that would serve students with autistic disorders.

The Project Concept-1 (PC1) of the initiative has been sent to the Provincial Development Board by the Department of Special Education for their approval. A 26-kanal, 10-marla plot of land in the Township will host the proposed school project, which is expected to cost about Rs673.5 million.

As per the World Health Organisation (WHO), there are 2.7 million people under the age of 18 who are affected by autistic disorder worldwide, while the Pakistan autistic Society estimates that 350,000 children in Pakistan suffer from the illness.

With 200 students in mind, the new autism school in Lahore will be able to supply each student with individualised attention and support.

The project highlights the government’s commitment to providing inclusive education for individuals with autism, with an anticipated monthly spending of roughly Rs. 39,000 on each child’s education.
