PM Shehbaz announces his preparedness to offer Uzbekistan access to Pakistan’s ports.

On Wednesday, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared his willingness to offer Uzbekistan access to its ports.

According to reports, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. The prime minister underlined Pakistan’s commitment to working with Uzbekistan to speed and finalize all mutual trade and connectivity initiatives.

He emphasized the importance of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Project and Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to its timely completion.

The two parties’ discussions expanded to increased collaboration in commerce, the economy, security, defense, connectivity, and people-to-people interactions.

Furthermore, Saidov reiterated President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s offer to Prime Minister Shehbaz to make an official visit to Uzbekistan as soon as possible.

The prime minister thanked President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and looked forward to the upcoming encounter.

  • PM Shehbaz, UAE president resolve to strengthen bilateral ties –

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan agreed to strengthen bilateral ties.

According to reports, the prime minister spoke with the president of the UAE by phone. PM Shehbaz expressed his condolences on the passing of Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and prayed for the departed soul to be elevated in dignity.

“The people of Pakistan have always had respect for the UAE royal family. The people of Pakistan applaud the leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was a close friend,” stated the premier.

Meanwhile, the UAE president thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz for speaking with him over phone.
