The Lahore airport has paused flight operations.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) reports that operations for foreign flights would be suspended until 3:30 pm.

According to the CAA’s Notam, every one of the thirty international planes scheduled to depart and arrive before 3:30 pm has been canceled.

But Lahore Airport would continue to run domestic and cargo flights, the CAA stressed.

The airport’s immigration system has reportedly sustained some damage as a result of the fire. There is no longer any immigration process, according to sources.

Smoke from the cigars forced the passengers out of the immigration lounge.

In the meantime, Rescue 1122 and Fire Brigade arrived at the airport to put out the fire. The cause of the fire is yet unknown, according to the airport authorities.
