The six-month deployment of Rangers in Karachi has been extended.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah accepted the extension time during a provincial cabinet meeting on Thursday. Under the Anti-Terrorism Act, the Sindh Rangers will still have authority.

The cabinet also gave its approval to the Sindh Building Control Authority’s creation of a governing body in lieu of an overseas committee. It also gave its approval to the Thar Coal and Energy Board’s four new members. Shazia Mari, Minister of Education Sardar Shah, Minister of Irrigation Jam Khan Shoro, and Karni Singh are among the members.

The government removed stamp duty from a 45,371 square yard land in North Nazimabad where the Bohri community intends to erect a university, according to a spokesman.
