On April 22, FM, Iranian President Raisi will travel to Pakistan. Dar affirms.

Dar remarked in the media that there is no connection between the Iranian president’s travel to Pakistan and the growing hostilities between Israel and Tehran.

The foreign ministry clarified, saying, “Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to Pakistan was planned before the tensions between Tehran and Tel-Aviv.”

President Raisi is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, during his visit, according to reports.

Topics like commerce, economic cooperation, mutual interests, border security, and the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline are anticipated to be discussed.

The larger regional context will be discussed at the sessions as well. The visit represents continued efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations after a brief setback earlier this year.

The Iranian president’s impending visit was confirmed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif one day ago.

Relations between the two nations deteriorated in January after Pakistan launched precision strikes on terrorists within Iranian soil in retribution for Tehran’s cross-border operations.

Pakistan went so far as to withdraw its ambassador from Iran and declare that it would not permit the Iranian envoy to return to his native land.

However, the ambassadors of the two nations quickly resumed their respective positions, restoring diplomatic relations.
