PDMA alerts Punjab to rain and a hailstorm through the 21st.

The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a weather advisory, indicating that rain is expected in various province cities from now until April 21.

As per a PDMA official, hailstorms are also possible in certain locations in addition to rain.

Deputy commissioners across the province have been told to exercise caution in light of the weather forecast by PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia. He stressed that in order to properly handle any emergencies that may develop as a result of the unfavourable weather, it is crucial that the relevant departments be vigilant.

Various rescue organisations, including Rescue 1122, have been instructed to maintain a high state of alertness for their staff and equipment in order to promptly respond to any emergency in response to the alert.

In order to prevent mishaps, Irfan Ali Kathia has also advised the public to use caution when it’s raining, asking them to avoid electric poles and dangling wires.

It is also recommended that citizens take cover in secure locations to reduce the likelihood of being struck by lightning. In times of unexpected weather, these preventative steps are crucial for guaranteeing people’s safety and wellbeing.

The PDMA is committed to protecting civilians and lessening the effects of unfavourable weather events, as seen by its proactive approach and coordinated actions with pertinent agencies as rain and hailstorms threaten Punjab. Communities can better adapt to and handle any issues brought by the shifting weather patterns by remaining aware and well-prepared.
