PM’s Ramadan aid package at utility stores will be continued by the government.

The Prime Minister’s Relief Package, according to officials, will sustain the subsidies for five basic commodities: rice, sugar, flour, ghee, pulses, and ghee.

A subsidy of roughly 3 billion rupees per month will be provided under the Prime Minister’s alleviation plan.

109 rupees per kilogramme of sugar and 648 rupees for a bag of 10 kg wheat are the prices at which BISP subscribers can buy groceries. Ghee costs 393 rupees a kilogramme for those who use the BISP service.

Every kilogramme of rice and pulses purchased by BISP customers will be eligible for a 25 rupee subsidy as part of the package. The federal government will determine whether to extend the Prime Minister package for the upcoming fiscal year, but utility retailers intend to keep it in place until June 2024.
