Federal Government Announces Ramadan Office Timings for 2024

Ramadan working hours have been shortened by the newly elected center administration, in keeping with the Islamic tradition of prayer and fasting during the Holy Month.

In recognition of the holy month and to accommodate those who fast, the Sharif-led administration shortened working hours during Ramadan.

Beginning the next week, the Establishment Division will publish a notification with the public on the work schedules of federal workers. It said that the regular business hours of federal government offices are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.

Six days a week, office workers will follow the 9 am to 2 pm routine. To accommodate those who observe fasts throughout the Islamic holy month, the administrations of Sindh, Balochistan, and other regions had already changed the office hours.
